Streetplus Company, LLC has assumed the management of day-to-day operations for three San Francisco Community Benefit Districts, including Yerba Buena Community Benefit District (YBCBD), Central Market Community Benefit District (CBCBD) and Civic Center Community Benefit District (CBD). Streetplus is headquartered in New York City and is the industry leader in supplying cleaning, safety, and hospitality services to downtowns and Improvement Districts.
The three downtown CBDs were previously managed by MJM Management Group, which will serve as a local advisor to Streetplus over the next two years and continue to provide award-winning strategic consulting services on design, programming and effective management of public spaces. The seamless change will combine the expertise of two successful organizations to create an even stronger service platform.
“This is a win-win for each community benefit district as the collaboration will provide a forward thinking comprehensive vision of the areas, while the day-to-day operations continue to be skillfully handled to ensure services are provided in the most efficient and effective manner possible,” stated Steve Hillard, President of Streetplus.
Community Benefit Districts strive to improve the overall quality of life and economic vitality in defined commercial and mixed-use neighborhoods through a partnership with a city and local communities. CBDs provide services such as cleaning, safety, maintenance, business marketing, advocacy, streetscape improvements, and other services to supplement the basic level of city services.
Streetplus has provided services to the improvement district industry since 1991, longer than any other company, and still provides services to their first customer.
Streetplus works with 63 improvement districts in seven states with regional offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.
The services provided by Streetplus to each improvement district include uniformed public security, safety, hospitality, cleaning and maintenance services, landscaping and streetscapes, social service outreach and technology. Streetplus augments its hands-on cleaning approach with ‘green friendly’ equipment to provide weed abatement, pressure washing, graffiti removal, street fixture maintenance and even snow removal. Streetplus hires ambassadors with friendly and engaging personalities and provides them with customized training to represent each district in an informed and positive way.
Some of Streetplus clients include South Park Business Improvement District and Arts District in Los Angeles, Union Square Partnership, Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership and Lincoln Square BID in New York, Lower Polk CBD in San Francisco, and the Chicago Loop Alliance.
“Streetplus is revolutionizing the improvement district industry by making districts cleaner, safer, and friendlier. Our priority is to hire the best ambassadors who have a passion for downtown and understand the importance of making positive impacts on a daily basis,” stated Patrick DeSimone, Co-CEO of Streetplus.
