Trumark Homes, an award-winning California homebuilder, has commenced sales on its inaugural affordable housing community in Brea, the Flats at West Village. Developed in partnership with the City of Brea, with the goal of providing attainable housing options to moderate-income homebuyers, the collection will be comprised of 20 stacked, income-qualified flats priced from the low $300,000s.

Eight floor plans will be available, ranging from 791 square feet to 1,624 square feet, and offer one to three bedrooms and one to two bathrooms, with all homes featuring expansive walk-in closets, in-home washer/dryer space, an outdoor deck, direct garage access, spacious kitchen islands and double-vanity master bathrooms. Socially distant tours and sales will be open to approved buyers.

“We feel privileged to partner with the City of Brea to bring this much-needed collection of affordable homes to the local community,” said Richard Douglass, Southern California division president of Trumark Homes. “COVID-19 has had a significant impact on so many lives worldwide, physically, mentally and financially. With California home values continuing to rise, it has never been more crucial to provide residents with affordable housing options. We are pleased to play a part in helping to make homeownership attainable for more residents with a new income-qualified community.”

Located on the southwest corner of West Central Avenue and Site Drive, the community sits across from a new one-acre community park and a recently completed four-story medical office building. The community’s entrance will serve as a pedestrian plaza area, creating an environment for engagement and community, with an enhanced street frontage, water feature and pedestrian paths. Commuting residents will have direct access to the 57 freeway. The community’s central location also offers residents a variety of nearby dining, retail, recreation and entertainment options, hiking trails through local parks and shopping at the Brea Mall. The flats are slated for completion in the first quarter of 2021.
