BOMA New York Announces Its 2018 President And Board Leadership

Last week, during BOMA New York’s Annual Conference & Leadership Breakfast at Club 101, the association announced its 2018 officers and board leadership for the term 2018-2020. Ronald S. Zeccardi, of The Moinian Group, will serve as BOMA New York’s 2018 president. He will be supported by Vice President-Elect Hani J. Salama, of Capital Properties, Inc., Treasurer-Elect Matthew J. Duthie, of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. and Secretary-Elect Cynthia M. Boyea, of Paramount Group, Inc.

“I want to thank Jim Kleeman for the work he has done for the chapter this year,” said BOMA New York President-Elect Ronald Zeccardi. “Jim has consistently pushed BOMA New York to be its best. He’s kicked off new initiatives and inspired our members. I look forward to leading BOMA New York in the next year and continuing the success and progress Jim has achieved.”

The New Board of Directors

Outgoing BOMA New York President James Kleeman will join the board of directors as former president next year. BOMA New York’s board oversees the general direction, control and management of BOMA New York, working in the interest of the membership at-large. Also joining the board are:

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) Themed Conference

After the new officers and board leadership were announced, BOMA New York kicked off the conference portion of the Annual Conference & Leadership Breakfast. This year’s theme was Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). The heads of six BIDs from throughout the city delivered remarks and answered questions about their respective BIDs.

The speakers included: Robert Benfatto, President, Hudson Yards/Hell’s Kitchen Alliance; Dan Biederman, President and Co-Founder, Grand Central Partnership, 34th Street Partnership and Bryant Park Corporation; Barbara Blair, President, Garment District Alliance; Monica Blum, President, Lincoln Square BID; Alfred Cerullo, President/CEO, Grand Central Alliance; Jennifer Falk, Executive Director, Union Square Partnership; and Josh Nachowitz, Vice President for Economic Development & Planning, Alliance for Downtown New York.

A BID is a not-for-profit organized by New York City and managed by boards of building owners, neighborhood merchants and residents. BIDs deliver a wide variation of services to local neighborhoods such as street cleanings, event planning, advocacy of neighborhood issues and initiatives, and capital enhancements.
