Brookfield has taken the next step in adding to its Manhattan West megaproject in Hudson Yards.

The developer filed plans with the New York City Department of Buildings for Two Manhattan West, which its records indicate will be a 59-story, 849-foot tower measuring 1.75M SF, Curbed New York reports. Construction is expected to complete in 2022.

Brookfield’s website for the property contains different specifications – a 935-foot tower with 56 floors measuring 1.9M SF.

Two Manhattan West will be designed by architectural firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill to look like a slightly shorter clone of its neighbor, One Manhattan West, also designed by SOM. It will seek LEED Gold certification and be filled with office space rising above ground-floor retail.

When completed, Two Manhattan West will all but put a bow on Brookfield’s entire development in Hudson Yards. Of the other office buildings, One Manhattan West is well underway with several leases already signed, 13-story boutique property The Lofts will open in 2018. Five Manhattan West delivered earlier this month and is already 99% leased to office tenants such as Amazon, with a Whole Foods on the ground floor.

Three Manhattan West, also known as apartment building The Eugene, is open as well.

Manhattan West will also include a 30-story hotel with 45 condos scheduled to be completed in 2020, but Brookfield has yet to name the operator.  (Source: Bisnow)
