Knotel, the premier agile workspace provider, announced today that it has finalized a 60,323 square-foot lease at RXR’s 61 Broadway in Lower Manhattan.
The new lease encompasses the entire 9th, 10th, 17th and 18th floors of the 33-story, 786,975 square-foot Downtown office tower, which is located on the northwest corner of Broadway and Exchange Alley, stretching to Trinity Place.
“We are excited to be partnering with one of New York’s leading owner/operators, RXR, at 61 Broadway,” said Eugene Lee, global head of real estate & business development at Knotel. “This is a strategic step that reflects flexible real estate needs and the growing opportunities in the Lower Manhattan market.”
Originally known as the Adams Express Building, 61 Broadway was the seventh tallest structure in Manhattan when it was completed in 1914. Today, the building has been re-imagined and renovated for modern office use. Recent capital improvements at the property include upgraded elevators, sprinkler systems, HVAC, bathrooms, common corridors, and new lobby refinements including art by Frank Stella.
Sinclair Li, Dan Wilpon and Evan Fiddle of CBRE represented Knotel in the transaction, while Hal Stein, David Malawer, Ben Shapiro and Todd Stracci of Newmark Knight Frank represented building ownership.
