Savills Studley Relocates NYC Housing Partnership to 253 West 35th Street

Savills Studley announced the successful completion of a relocation transaction for the New York City Housing Partnership.

The NYC Housing Partnership assists in the development, promotion and revitalization of affordable homeownership and rental housing through specialized programs and services that benefit the residents of New York City. Faced with a looming lease expiration for its space at 242 West 36^th Street, the nonprofit retained Savills Studley’s Marc Shapses, Roi Shleifer and Seth Wasserman to devise a solution.

The Savills Studley team uncovered space just around the corner and successfully negotiated a long-term lease for 9,890 square feet, the entire 3^rd floor, at 253 West 35th Street. In early 2019, the NYC Housing Partnership will relocate from 8,000 square feet at 242 West 36th Street.

Said Shapses: “The new space at 253 West 35^th Street enables the NYC Housing Partnership to remain accessible to its client-base, a majority of whom commute through Penn Station, while providing a more modern, flexible office space that will increase efficiency and boost productivity for the organization.”

The landlord was represented by Alan Bonett and Bradley Cohn from Adams and Co. Real Estate.

253 West 35th Street is located in the heart of Penn Plaza and provides the tenant with direct access to major transportation hubs.
