LongHouse’s annual Summer Benefit is a transformative experience, as the bucolic grounds of the garden are enlivened with visually appealing installations specially curated for the event.
LongHouse Reserve’s Summer Benefit will be held on Saturday, July 20 on the grounds of the sculpture garden. The Benefit will honor filmmaker and painter Julian Schnabel with the LongHouse Award. Donna Karan will be honored with the Leadership Award. Artist Laurie Anderson will create a special performance. The Benefit will begin at 6pm with a reception, live music, and a silent auction. Dinner will begin at 8 p.m. An after-party will follow at 10 p.m.
The Benefit’s chairs are Dorothy Lichtenstein and Neda Young. Honorary chairs are Bill T. All Benefit attendees are invited to a screening of Schnabel’s “At Eternity’s Gate” starring Willem Defoe in his Oscar-nominated role as Vincent Van Gogh. The film will be screened at Guild Hall on Wednesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. For more information, visit here.
