Young Jewish Professional’s Spotlight on Women is proud to be partnering with David Yurman, executive producer of “This Changes Everything,” a documentary exploring gender parity in Hollywood. This unique event will feature a panel discussion and question-and-answer session with Carol Pennelli, David Yurman’s president, along with other outstanding women who were involved with the film’s production. Expect an evening of dinner, drinks, and stimulating conversation about the past, present, and future of gender equality in the workplace. The event is open to both men and women.

Now, after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival this month, they’re coming to Young Jewish Professionals!
On Tuesday, July 16, YJP’s Spotlight on Women is proud to be partnering with David Yurman as they release This Changes Everything, a documentary exploring gender parity in the creative fields.

This exclusive panel will feature Carol Pennelli, president of David Yurman, along with other outstanding women who were involved with the film’s production.
Pennelli oversees all functions outside of design and creative. She reports directly to David Yurman, co-founder, chairman and CEO of the brand. Pennelli joined the company in 2002 as chief commercial officer where she oversaw all aspects of David Yurman’s commercial channels, profit and loss, and general performance including retail, wholesale, digital and outlet businesses. Prior to joining David Yurman, she served as senior vice president of sales, education, and global special events at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
Simone Pero is the founder of For Impact Productions, a social impact film marketing and production company, with a roster of some of today’s most visionary issue-driven films. Pero is also an active leader in the media and entertainment industry, as noard president of the pre-eminent professional association, New York Women in Film & Television.

Most recently, Pero was a producer on Jennifer Fox’s “The Tale,” starring Laura Dern, Ellen Burstyn, Elizabeth Debicki, and Common, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival to audience and critical acclaim, and in an unprecedented move was picked up for worldwide distribution by HBO Films. “The Tale” has received numerous Award nominations including two Gothams, three Independent Spirits, two Critics’ Choice, one Golden Globe, and two Emmys. Under Pero’s leadership, “The Tale” also launched a ground-breaking global social impact campaign, including presentations at more than 100 organizations and universities around the world, and at the United Nations. This year, Pero is also an executive producer on Tom Donahue’s soon-to-be-released “This Changes Everything” which had its world premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and will be distributed by Good Deed Entertainment.
