Edmiston Yachts and polo icon Nacho Figueras recently hosted the first annual Edmiston Charity Chukka on behalf of the Stonybrook Southampton Hospital. The event was held at the Ashkenazy family estate in Water Mill, NY. It was presented by luxury destination Amaala and supported by Feadship, NetJets, Hublot, de Grisogono, Overfinch, Berkeley Travel, Zang Toi and other partners.
“We were pleased to work with Nacho Figueras again to bring this kind of experience back to the Hamptons,” said Edmiston President Robert Shepherd. “Our goal was to create a curated day for the whole family, featuring a polo match, gourmet cuisine, sublime beverages, kid’s activities, classic cars, cutting edge yachts, fashion, spa services and luxury lifestyle amenities.”
Inspired by the days of polo in the Hamptons, the Edmiston Charity Chukka rendered a luxurious and immersive lifestyle experience beyond the polo match between the Edmiston and Amaala teams. The event featured a mini Concours d’Elegance featuring Stuart Parr’s rare vintage and exotic cars, a Petrossian caviar and Veuve Clicquot champagne reception before the match and a trophy presentation to the Amaala team, who won the cup.
Polo enthusiasts and notables from the yachting, finance, art and fashion worlds including Nacho Figueras, Delfina Blaquier Figueras, Michael Ashkenazy, Thom Browne’s Rodrigo Bazan, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Whitney Fairchild, Libby and Terry Fitzgerald, Roberto De Guardiola, Bobby Genovese, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Tico Mugrabi, Shark Tank’s Rohan Oza, Erica Pelosini, Lady Jane Rothschild, Andres and Lauren Santo Domingo, Edmiston’ Robert Shepherd, Susan Shin, Zang Toi, Gucci Westman and David Neville, and Rachel Zoe were in attendance.
