RXR Realty has announced an innovative culinary residency program at 475 Clermont, the firm’s latest luxury rental building in Brooklyn and its first residential project in NYC. Its partnership with Resident, a Brooklyn-based supper club startup that supports up-and-coming chefs, breaks down the barriers of traditional dining by connecting emerging culinary talent directly to building residents via a one-of-a-kind, fine dining experiences. 475 Clermont residents will enjoy intimate dinners and wine pairings hosted by female chef duo Bronwen Kinzler-Britton and Meryl Feinstein within Kinzler-Britton’s apartment, a full-time resident at the building, as part of the partnership.

“Dining is not just about cuisine, but the experience of bringing people together. Having a live-in chef create five-star level dishes and giving all residents a chance to sit at the “chef’s counter” enhances the sense of community and elevates the sophisticated lifestyle offering at 475 Clermont,” said Scott Rechler, CEO and chairman of RXR Realty.

Located at the nexus of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, 475 Clermont is a 12-story building featuring a collection of 363 luxury rental homes ranging from studios to two-bedroom homes, paired with a suite of unrivaled lifestyle amenities. A luxurious one-bedroom residence will serve as Kinzler-Britton’s home, as well as the venue for the monthly private dinners. The interiors of the residence have been transformed into the ultimate supper club, featuring furniture by Hem and artwork by local New York artists Iman Raad, Vincent Stracquadanio, and Katharine Marais.

“Experiential programming is the next evolution of amenities,” said Matthew Villetto, executive vice president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, which is spearheading leasing efforts at the property. “Creating a unique culinary experience in an intimate setting that fosters community is a true differentiator in the marketplace.”

RXR Realty worked closely with Resident to hand-select Kinzler-Britton and Feinstein, a dynamic pair of up-and-coming culinary artists who both specialize in Italian cooking, with roots in well-known Brooklyn restaurants. Kinzler-Britton is a Texas-born chef who traded her 9-to-5 for a career in the food industry. Past experience includes working as a pizzaiola at Paul Gianone’s Neapolitan pizza restaurant, Paulie Gee’s, and she was also part of the opening team of James Beard, award-winning Chef Missy Robbins’ local establishment, Misi. Feinstein is a pasta maker who similarly transitioned from the corporate world into cuisine. After graduating top of her class from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, she too worked with Chef Robbins at Misi, as well as her other renowned eatery, Lilia Ristorante. Feinstein is also the founder of Pasta Social Club, a platform that offers private dining and cooking experiences.

“Resident was founded on the principle of supporting the next generation of star chefs and providing them the opportunity for culinary experimentation. This partnership paves the way for two of our talented chefs to explore their culinary creativity alongside their neighbors, who are sure to enjoy the passion and artistry that goes into creating incredible meals,” said Brian Mommsen, Resident founder and CEO.

475 Clermont’s monthly dining experiences will be a part of the building’s robust amenities package, including a 24-hour attended lobby, landscaped courtyard featuring a 90-foot custom mural by Mona Caron; business center; indoor/outdoor children’s playroom; indoor/outdoor fitness center including Peloton bikes; yoga studio; pet spa and rooftop terrace and lounge featuring an outdoor movie screen, grilling stations, dining areas, catering kitchens, bocce court, and game tables; resident storage, bike storage and onsite parking. Dinners will be open to all residents by reservation with up to 10 seats available. Every building resident will get two tickets to dinner, distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Residents can also request a private event at a special rate.
