Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) announced the promotion of Galit Brichta, formerly FIDF northeast executive director, to vice president of the Northeast region.
Brichta has over 30 years of experience working in the Jewish non-profit world and has served in executive roles for the last 10 years. She has successfully applied her passion for Israel and the Jewish community to raise tens of millions of dollars for Jewish causes. Prior to FIDF, Brichta held senior fundraising roles at UJA-Federation of New York, Hadassah, Yeshiva University and began her career with American Friends of Tel Aviv University.
In her time with FIDF, Brichta has developed and executed the NY Chapter Affinity Groups consisting of Real Estate, Financial Services and the Women’s Brigade, strong groups working together in support of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Brichta resides in Roslyn, New York and is the proud mother of two daughters.
“FIDF is the best organization for anyone who loves and wants to support Israel,” said Brichta. “It is truly an honor and privilege to connect the Northeast region to the young men and women who protect and defend Israel tirelessly and against all odds. Our community continues to go above and beyond, even throughout the pandemic, and I am increasingly excited to lead the FIDF Northeast team in partnering with our thousands of supporters to impact the lives of more soldiers than ever.”
