Memorial Day already seems so long ago and the Hamptons is entering its last full month of socializing, charity events and parties.  There is much to attend, people to meet and new things to experience.  Here is Mann’s August A-List.  Enjoy!

Running through the end of August, the ARTACOM Summer Art Show at the Southampton Cultural Center from Roger Sichel and friends represents the future of art and technology. Artacom turns a conventional gallery into a digital, interactive display comprising sculpture, live art, performance art and digital and traditional representations of art all in one space.  The addition of virtual reality and social events make this a must-experience show.  artacom.io

The Annual Hamptons Concours courtesy of Bradford Rand and his team at RAND Luxury will take place on Saturday, August 5 bringing together classic and contemporary cars with a special emphasis on the Ferrari. NYC Second Chance Rescue will be hosting their second annual Hamptons benefit on Thursday, August 10, Pawparazzi Cats, Canines, Cocktails and an impersonator concert for charity hosted by Brandon Colón.  The event will feature Athena Riech impersonating Lady Gaga amongst others to raise funds for animals in need, with music by DIMATTEO at the Baker House in East Hampton. nycsecondchancerescue.org

The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s annual Hamptons Garden Gala takes place at the beautiful home of Co-hosts Patricia & Roger Silverstein, on Saturday, August 12. Patricia is the one to know this summer and is a Life and Business Coach and Founder of Coaching X Humanity. The Northwell Health Summer Hamptons Evening (S.H.E.) is being held on Saturday, August 12, at a private home in Water Mill to benefit the Katz Institute for Women’s Health’s targeted programs and unique services to advance care for women in our communities. The leading literary event of the season, the East Hampton Library Author’s Night is the event for book lovers. Doing good this summer is not just limited to adults – the Second Annual Kids Cancel Cancer event organized by the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at The Clubhouse in East Hampton. This event is unlike any others because it was created and is being co-chaired by four teenagers, Mischa Abend, Abey Fuks, Ava Litman and Hayley Silvers (pictured bottom right). Amy Green, philanthropist and former sports journalist who recently hosted the first Fire & Ice Gala to support the 100 billion Meals Challenge in Aspen is hosting the Footprint of Life Gala on Thursday, August 24. The Green Vision Foundation and Bob Zangrillo Foundation will be involved in what is expected to be one of the biggest events of the month with a special guest DJ.

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation Summer Gala will be held Saturday, August 26 at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club with Gala Chair Jean Shafiroff. The Foundation is led by Chair and Co-founder Julie Ratner who created the Foundation with her sister Emily Levin.  The Ellen Hermanson Foundation was named after Ratner and Levinsons younger sister Ellen, who died in 1995 of breast cancer. Closing out the month, Michael Milken’s Prostate Cancer Foundation will be hosting its annual Hamptons Gala on Saturday, August 26 as the social centerpiece of their PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament which is being held over the weekend at private estates in the Hamptons. pcf.org
