Love golf? Live in Florida? You’re in luck because aside from the amazing golf courses, you can swing your own clubs; there are some exciting golf events to attend if you want to see the pros do their thing.

Bookmark these events and add a note to your calendar because you don’t want to miss them! And don’t assume they’re just the same old golf tournaments, either—there are some interesting, unique golfing formats to be enjoyed, along with fun, food and doing your bit to help various charities as well.

TimberTech Championship

Over 50 PGA Tour professionals will play for victory at the TimberTech Championship, held at the Old Course at the Broken Sound Club. This year, the tournament runs until November 5, with the Championship Rounds falling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets range from ground passes with public seating, concession stands, fan zones and all-inclusive green-side VIP bars.

Whichever you choose, know that your ticket goes towards a good cause! Every year, a significant portion of the proceeds of this tournament go towards the Boca Raton Champions Golf Charities (BRCGC), which distribute it amongst various charities.

Whether you’re a huge golf fan or just looking for a fun way to spend a day out in the warm Florida sun, this is a worthwhile cause. The golfing is bound to be great, and you’ll be supporting some fantastic charities simultaneously!

The ANNIKA

“The Annika,” named after golfing great Annika Sorenstam, is Tampa Bay’s signature LPGA Tour event. Proceeds from this tournament go towards the ANNIKA Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering young people through fitness and nutrition, with a special focus on providing opportunities for junior golfers.

Running from November 6 to 12, the Annika will host 120 golfers at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, all competing for a $2.3 million prize. Floridians who want to get immersed in the action can volunteer and get to see how things work behind the scenes.

CME Group Tour Championship

From November 16 to 19, the CME Group Tour Championship will be held at the Tiburón Golf Club in Naples. It’s the final tournament of the 2023 LPGA Tour season and features the top 60 golfers, so you know it’s going to be a great one!

Interestingly, this tournament has the highest single prize purse in the history of women’s golf, $7 million in total, with $2 million going towards the winner.

The Grant Thornton Invitational

The Grant Thornton Invitational is a unique and exciting event. Unlike most, this is a mixed-team event, with 16 LPGA and 16 PGA players coming together to put on a show. Although there will be nine hours of TV coverage, there’s nothing like being right there and experiencing the atmosphere!

The tournament promises to be an action-packed one, with three rounds including three different types of play—scramble, foursomes and modified four-ball. This makes it a unique kind of game, so grab your tickets soon!

A portion of the price of your ticket goes towards Grant Thornton’s Purple Paladin program and various charities. Have fun, enjoy some spectacular golf and do good at the same time.

PNC Championship

This fun tournament is a must-see! Watch 20 PGA champions team up with someone from their own family to play a fun and memorable tournament together from December 14 to 17.

It happens a little differently than most: both players hit the shot, and the best one is chosen. Both players then play their next shot from that place, and so it continues.

The rest of the year has plenty of golfing excitement coming up! Complement your own on-course time by attending a few of these events. It’s about more than just the golf, although the gameplay promises to be amazing.

Each one of these is a chance to get your golfing fix, see some of the pros in action, enjoy the atmosphere with other golf fans, and do your bit for charity at the same time.
