The Gabriel South Beach, an art deco gem in the heart of Ocean Drive, will present an immersive exhibition by renowned artist Sarah Main, known for her unique fusion of traditional painting with augmented reality, artificial intelligence and music. Main’s innovative approach to multidimensional art expands the boundaries of creative expression, complementing the hotel’s artistic and vibrant atmosphere.
During Miami Art Week, Main will showcase eight captivating works at The Gabriel that blend her passions for music, art and technology. Among them are “A.O.K.,” which reflects on a society preoccupied with convenience and instant gratification, capturing the casual indifference with which we drift through a world of fragile beauty; “Cyberella,” which presents a serene coexistence between technology and creativity embodied in a figure with a knowing yet curious gaze; “The Eccentric Fool,” which celebrates the power of nonconformity, inviting viewers to embrace individuality and find value in living outside conventional expectations; and “Like Water,”about finding peace and balance in the flow of life.
Main’s work is deeply personal, serving as a visual diary that navigates the delicate balance between chaos and clarity. As she describes, her art “seeks to illuminate the profound beauty hidden within a seemingly nonsensical world.” Motivated by her experiences as a mother, she adds, “Through the act of painting, I invite viewers to rediscover their inner child, sparking a sense of wonder that fosters belief in a better tomorrow.”
Throughout the week, visitors can observe Main’s artistic journey as she brings a blank canvas to life, revealing the passion and precision behind each brushstroke. Main invites guests to witness her creative process firsthand with an exclusive live painting experience daily from 1-5 p.m., Tuesday, December 3 through Saturday, December 7. This immersive experience offers a rare glimpse into the evolution of her work, culminating in a finished masterpiece. The completed painting will then be auctioned, with a significant portion of the proceeds benefiting Main’s chosen charity. Hotel guests can also enhance their experience with an intimate exploration of the showcased works by joining a nightly art tour at 6 p.m. from December 3-7.
