The Soloviev Foundation announces Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US, the next community-based art installation coming to Freedom Plaza. Encompassing more than six-acres on Manhattan’s East Side from 38th to 41st Street on First Avenue, the dynamic experience will explore America’s founding pillars of liberty and equality through the lens of individual lived experiences.

Made possible by the Soloviev Foundation, designed by multi-specialty creative studio C&G Partners, and directed by award-winning filmmaker, director, and producer Daniella Vale, Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US will open Spring 2025, serving as a prequel to America 250, the 2026 United States Quarter Millennial.

Visitors will embark on a captivating journey through 250 years of the nation’s history, exploring its progress, challenges, and triumphs. This experience will be brought to life through 45 larger-than-life screens that will showcase breathtaking immersive photographs and compelling audio stories; thought-provoking documentaries; and interactive elements, coming together to form a beautiful and complex narrative designed to deepen understanding and foster meaningful connections.

Vale traveled across the country to capture portraits and candid interviews showcasing the personal experiences and reflections on life in America; That Which Unites Us. Among the inspiring individuals who have graciously shared their stories are a WWII Veteran, a Retired NYFD Lieutenant, Artists, Activists, Small Farmers, Educators, National Park Rangers, Union Transit Workers, Chefs, and more. Each offers a unique perspective on their journey and the power of individual stories to connect the universal paths we all share.

“Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US is as much a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence as it is about the future of American cities like New York,” said Michael Hershman, CEO of Soloviev Group. “The installation will expose the world to the importance of democracy and freedom in a very personal way, while also demonstrating the resiliency of citizens who boldly forge a daily path towards realizing their dreams.”

“We believe that through these stories, we can foster a deeper understanding of our common bonds, as we celebrate both our individual journeys and the collective spirit that ties us together,” said Vale.

Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US will expand on the Soloviev Foundation’s commitment to bringing the community together through art that encourages reflection, nurtures inter-personal connection, and inspires hope.
