Louise Phillips Forbes of Brown Harris Stevens Launches “Weze’s Wall: Living Artfully” – Manhattan Luxury Open House Meets Chic Gallery Party

Louise Phillips Forbes, top-selling agent at Brown Harris Stevens (BHS), in collaboration with teammate and BHS agent Elisabeth Slaten, today launched Weze’s Wall: Living Artfully, a series of immersive open house experiences that feature curated art installations by local NYC artists. The first installation of Weze’s Wall will be hosted on May 15 at their shared exclusive property, 1212 Fifth Avenue. The initiative will showcase a collection of breathtaking paintings by Meredith Schomburg.

Meredith is an artist and designer passionate about creating pieces that highlight living things in optimistic, colorful and dynamic ways. She approaches every project with the simple goal of making art and fostering connection. Her show,“Joyful Noise,” which had its solo debut this spring at Picture Theory Gallery, will be presented at 1212 Fifth Avenue, featuring emotional, layered, and deeply visual works. With titles like The Gift and Do You See Me / Do I See You Clearly, the show invites viewers into a conversation, much like the home does.

“Art needs walls, and walls need art,” said Louise Phillips Forbes. “New York City has an unmatched energy with unique moments of beauty at every turn. Our local artists capture that spirit, and we are proud to celebrate their talent and support their work.”

Proudly serving as the backdrop for “Joyful Noise,” 1212 Fifth Avenue is a rare blend of art, architecture, and nature in and of itself. Originally designed in 1925 and reimagined in 2011, it’s one of the few pre-war buildings on Fifth Avenue with LEED Gold certification. The specific residences, 14A (2,389 SF) and 14D (1,538 SF), offer nearly 4,000 square feet combined with four exposures and unobstructed views of Central Park. Stepping into the home might feel more like being inside a landscape painting rather than next to one. Most literally surrounded by art, located steps from the Conservatory Garden, the Guggenheim, El Museo del Barrio, and the Museum of the City of New York, 1212 Fifth Avenue is the perfect space to blur the lines between home and gallery. This is a golden opportunity to combine these two canvases of homes with a key lock elevator opening into your full floor boasting all 4000 SF.

Louise—true to her deep commitment to culture and community—was immediately supportive of bringing art into the homes she represents as a way to uplift local talent. A top producing agent and 34-year industry leader with nearly $6 billion in sales and a list of awards and accolades to her credit, serving on many non-profit boards surrounding causes for education, art and children, Louise was named Residential Agent of the Year by the Real Estate Board of New York in 2020 for her consistent achievements and leadership within the industry. A multi-time winner of Halstead Real Estate’s (now Brown Harris Stevens) esteemed Broker-of-the-Year award, Louise has also been acknowledged many times as the #1 listing broker companywide and currently leads one of the firm’s top sales teams. Her experience in both luxury residential sales and development projects—over 30 to date—has equipped her with the unique ability to fully understand clients’ needs, navigate fluctuations in the market, and negotiate complicated deals ranging from $700k to tens of millions of dollars.
