On the evening of Saturday, June 7th, Old Westbury Gardens hosted one of its most anticipated and beloved annual events: the Gardeners’ Fair, a celebration of beauty, community, and purpose set beneath a grand tent on Eagle Hill. This unforgettable night brought together friends, supporters, and longtime champions of the Gardens’ mission in a vibrant atmosphere of elegance, generosity, and joy.

Guests arrived in their best spring cocktail attire, including Emmy Award–winning actress Susan Lucci, whose presence added glamour to an already sparkling night.

The heart of the event, the live auction, drew enthusiastic participation under the dynamic direction of incomparable auctioneer Pat Tully and featured an array of spectacular offerings. Standout experiences included a private truffle dinner at a Mill Neck, NY estate, a Sterling Affair-catered party at Westbury House or in the Gardens, a luxurious getaway to a private home in Vail, Colorado, as well as exclusive works by regional artists Virginia Pierrepont and Christine Daddario, and custom-designed horticultural packages from Old Westbury Gardens’ own staff.

A highlight of the evening was the tribute to Robert A. Bartlett, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Bartlett Tree Experts, honored for his visionary leadership in arboriculture and his long-standing dedication to the preservation and vitality of the Gardens’ trees and landscapes. His work continues to shape and strengthen the natural beauty that defines Old Westbury Gardens.

“Old Westbury Gardens was proud to honor Robert A. Bartlett at this year’s Gardener’s Fair,” said Maura Brush, President & CEO of Old Westbury Gardens. “In addition, we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for a lively and fun celebration—surrounded by beauty, good company, and a shared love for the Gardens.”

All proceeds from the event directly support Old Westbury Gardens’ core initiatives in preservation, education, and horticulture, ensuring that this treasured place continues to inspire visitors of all ages for generations to come.
