New 28 Liberty Venue Halo Hosts UBS House of Craft x Dior Exhibition

Halo, the new event venue at 28 Liberty in Lower Manhattan, recently hosted a UBS House of Craft x Dior exhibition celebrating eight decades of haute couture craftsmanship.

Curated by Carine Roitfeld and brought to life through the lens of Brigitte Niedermair, the exhibition showcased the design legacies of seven Dior creative directors, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri, alongside a special tribute to Kim Jones. The show featured both archival garments and striking large-format photography, bringing together fashion’s past and present.

More than 2,000 visitors took part in the event, engaging with curated installations, couture talks, live atelier demonstrations, and panel discussions featuring Carine Roitfeld, Brigitte Niedermair, Dior atelier experts, and UBS representatives, including a special workshop hosted by Dior’s Horst Schüler.

As one of the first major cultural events hosted at the newly launched Halo at 28 Liberty, the exhibition set the tone for the venue’s role as a premier destination for artistic and cultural programming. This aligns with the programming on Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty – including culinary, fashion, art and community events – that have positioned the property as a vibrant hub for global culture in the heart of Lower Manhattan.

Spanning 30,000 square feet, Halo is designed for a wide array of events with unparalleled flexibility, accommodating up to 750 guests. The venue expands 28 Liberty’s existing events space, complementing the expansive plaza and Union Square Hospitality’s Manhatta, a restaurant and event space on the top floor of the property.

Central to Halo’s allure is its unique perspective of Fosun Plaza through a sunken fountain art installation. Designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 28 Liberty is distinguished by its outdoor plaza, which is host to Jean Dubuffet’s sculpture Group of Four Trees.
