CJ and Elise McCollum, proprietors of McCollum Family Vineyard, are pleased to welcome guests to their 318-acre estate in Carlton with the launch of their first on-property hospitality experience.
Available by appointment Thursday through Sunday, guests can now enjoy McCollum Family Vineyard wines where they are grown, marking the next chapter of CJ and Elise’s wine legacy in the Willamette Valley.
Purchased in 2021, the 318-acre property was transformed from a former Christmas tree farm and land that housed cattle and horses, into 56 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Here, they grow the grapes for their estate wines, showcasing the quality and unique terroir of the site, while reflecting CJ and Elise’s commitment to thoughtful farming and long-term land stewardship. Throughout this transformation CJ and Elise had always dreamt of creating inviting and inclusive experiences and a safe and enjoyable space for all.
The tasting experience offers an intimate introduction to McCollum Family Vineyard’s Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rosé and Blanc de Blancs. At the heart of the experience is a polished vintage Airstream nestled beneath the estate’s oak trees, serving as the outdoor tasting bar and hospitality hub. Guests can enjoy a flight of four current-release wines for $30 per person or select wines by the glass or bottle, accompanied by a selection of charcuterie-style bites from Good Company Cheese Shop, available for purchase.
A big component of the McCollums’ love for wine comes from its ability to connect people and places—with each bottle carrying the values of authenticity, warmth and shared experience. With connection as a leading vision, opening their property to the public represents the next chapter of that philosophy in physical form.

It’s about sharing a place that means everything to our family.”

The new hospitality experience represents an early step in the McCollums’ vision for their estate. As the vineyard continues to mature, plans are underway for a tasting room and multi-purpose destination featuring strolling green spaces, a chef crafting locally driven dishes with produce from the property’s garden and serene views framed by the property’s ancient oak trees.
