Arriving in the charming town – one of the official “Great Spa Towns of Europe” founded 2,000 years ago to “do people good” – guests are welcomed to Brenners and immediately engaged with the rich history of the property in the foyer and adjacent showcase room, where a historical timeline, themed walls, and displays tell the story of the past 150 years of the Grand Hotel. Having presided over the Lichtentaler Allee since opening its doors in 1872, it has been in the hands of just two families, maintaining its passionate commitment to the traditions of elegant European hospitality and the sense of being at a home away from home. Checking into an impressive Corner Suite, visitors will be able to unwind from their journey while soaking in views of the private park, the famous Lichtentaler Allee, and the magical Black Forest from their balcony, or luxuriate in the suite’s expansive integrated library and living room. After settling in, a fashionable dinner at Fritz & Felix Restaurant awaits, featuring a Chef’s Choice six-course menu, followed by a meet & greet with Chef Farid Fazel.
The next day, a city expert will lead a curated World Heritage Tour of Baden-Baden to discover the treasures of the 19th century “Summer Capital of Europe.” The afternoon is dedicated to the property’s own Villa Stéphanie Spa & Wellbeing, one of Europe’s finest and most innovative spas, where guests are pampered with a signature treatment in the private Couples Treatment room. Dinner for the evening is held in the Wintergarten Restaurant, where the property’s expert sommelier gives a consultation for the perfect Champagne to accompany the meal.
The following morning, visitors are treated to a private breakfast on one of the hotel’s spectacular terraces, taking in the lush scenery while indulging in homemade pastries and traditional German breakfast fare, fresh juices and smoothies. After suitably fueled, one can enjoy a guided hiking experience on what is considered Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail, the Panorama Trail, before being rewarded with a rustic lunch in a country inn at the end of the trek. The afternoon features a choice of either a horse drawn carriage ride through Baden-Baden, stopping for a luxury Brenners picnic in one of its most charming locations, or a private experience and expert introduction in the Brenners Patisserie, followed by the hotel’s Afternoon Tea inspired by Pierre Hermé Paris. The final evening lures guests into the iconic Casino at the Kurhaus of Baden-Baden, Germany’s oldest casino, for a dinner at The Grill and a chance to find gambling luck, with a €200 per person contribution of tokens from Brenners Park.
