The Frick Collection has received approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission after standing before them the second time this month.
The museum, which has plans to expand, has some residents and preservations alike in an uproar. But, architect for the project, Annabelle Selldorf, presented the LPC a revised proposal after dismissal of the first.
The plans include a minor three-foot setback on the art reference library, which was suggested after the first meeting.
The commission voted 7-1 in favor of the expansion with one absentation. In coming weeks we will begin to see new imagery for the expansion.
