Playing on the phrase “home is where the heart is,” Galerie LIC boasts the slogan “home is where the art is!”
Located across the street from MoMA PS1, Galerie is a place where art, artists, and locals collide is perfectly curated residences that bring art to the forefront of everyday life. Designed by ODA New York with interiors by Paris Forino, Galerie is infused with unique artistic sensibility.
Upon entering the building residents will notice Art Box, which brings contemporary art to the entrance of the building. As a permanent exhibition space, Art Box presents a curated series of works by New York and LIC artists. Created for both residents and passersby, Art Box is just one example of Galerie’s commitment to the arts.
The development includes a private off-street porte-cochere, allowing residents to enter by automobile in a covered environment, and enclosed parking; a sculpture garden, which features a sculpture by Brooklyn-based artist Allen Glatter, for private relaxation; a party room for entertaining, complete with dining table and kitchen; a library stocked with a selection of art books from the MoMA PS1 bookstore; an indoor pool that looks onto the landscaped courtyard; children’s playroom with homework station; fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment; and a rooftop for residents to cook, dine, entertain, and relax with views of the Manhattan skyline.
Residences range from studios to one-, two-, and three-bedrooms with an open design. Every residence features custom stained white oak flooring; kitchens with Bosch stainless steel appliances; en-suite master baths; high-performance heating and cooling; laundry rooms; and high-efficiency windows.
