Hoozip, the PropTech platform that builds software for house flippers, announced today the release of its newest and most ambitious product, REI Rail, which provides the customer with “instant call prep.”
“The power of REI Rail is that in the 2.9 seconds on average that it takes to connect a mobile phone call, REI Rail identifies the caller, scours the deep web to build a personal profile on them, then scans hundreds of public and private databases for information about their property,” said Vince Harris, CEO of Hoozip. “By the time an REI Rail user says ‘hello,’ a full breakdown on the caller and property has been generated and is formatted neatly on their computer or mobile screen. This ‘instant call prep,’ as some beta users have referred to it, is the reason they are able to build rapport so quickly, ultimately closing more deals.”
“REI Rail is the only phone system that was built for the way this business works in real life,” said Max Maxwell, widely considered the #1 real estate investing coach in the country. Maxwell continued: “The reason my social media channels are the most followed in our industry is that I that am 100% transparent with my followers about what I did to explode my business over the last two years. I show them all the tools I use. And the phone is probably the most important of them all.
“When I decided to offer software tools to my students, I knew I needed a development shop that understood real estate as well as they understood technology. The Hoozip team fits the bill.”
Maxwell, whose combined online following now tops 200,000, went on to say: “We collaborated to put together a system that would empower newbies and pros alike to be rockstars on the phone.”
Will Holly, owner of Holly Nance Group, based in central New Jersey, echoes Maxwell’s sentiments: “It’s a delicate process especially when talking to sellers of distressed homes. We want to be sensitive to their situation. But at the end of the day, we still need to qualify them and move them through the sales funnel so we can buy the house. REI Rail gives us the data we need to be able to do that.”
This type of competitive edge has become increasingly important as house flipping has heated up nationwide and more sophisticated players enter the space. Hoozip’s focus on larger house-flipping shops (as compared to solo operators) is illustrated by REI Rail features that enhance sales training, including:
- Call recording and transcription
- Machine learning to help teams identify the cadence of successful calls
- Lead scoring, based on keyword flagging, as well as on sentiment analysis.
Later this year, Hoozip will offer its spin on the iBuyer concept. Hoozip has plans to offer more than just tech to its flippers. The company wants to help them find deals. For a small pilot group of customers, Hoozip has already begun to use its internal data and tech firepower to identify flip opportunities, which it shares with users based on their buying criteria. The company likens the coming platform to Zillow Instant Offers TM, “but for ugly houses,” said Harris.
