Citi Habitats announced that licensed real estate professional J.D. Sharpe has joined the firm. He will work out of the brokerage’s Williamsburg office, led by Senior Managing Director Alex Saltalamacchia.
Prior to associating with Citi Habitats, Sharpe was a successful agent at Compass in Cobble Hill. Forward thinking and creative, he was also one of the founding members of Mdrn. Residential, where he served as the company’s Strategy Director, and helped grow the firm from one to more than fifty agents. Sharpe began his career working with a top-producing agent as a loft specialist at the former Mark David & Company in SoHo.
While Sharpe is happy to assist clients across the city, he does substantial business in New York City’s waterfront communities. He has helped hundreds of clients across DUMBO, The Financial District, Williamsburg, and Downtown Brooklyn. Sharpe has special expertise in lofts and single-family homes, which make up a majority of the housing stock in The Rockaways—a neighborhood where he is both a resident and a community leader.

In addition to his real estate career, Sharpe is a creative with an extensive background in luxury retail and still occasionally consults for top consumer brands including BlackBerry, Carol’s Daughter, and Microsoft.
