The Alliance for Downtown New York, Lower Manhattan’s nonprofit business improvement district, will host 48 neighborhood restaurants at the 2025 Dine Around Downtown festival, taking place at Fosun’s landmarked plaza at 28 Liberty St. on Wednesday, June 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event marks the 22nd edition of the festival. Admission is free, with restaurants offering signature menu items ranging from $5 to $10; beverages are available for purchase as well.
This year’s festival brings back James Beard award-winning chef and author Rocco DiSpirito as its special guest host. DiSpirito has had an ongoing relationship with the Downtown Alliance since 2020, when he began hosting the virtual “Cooking at Home” series pairing him with local chefs as they demonstrate to viewers how to make their favorite dishes. He will be signing copies of his two most recent cookbooks, “Everyday Delicious” and “Rocco’s Keto Comfort Food Diet” at the event.
Launched in 1997, Dine Around Downtown is one of Lower Manhattan’s premier tasting events and continues to grow in step with downtown’s flourishing culinary scene. This year’s festival features almost triple the number of participating restaurants of the first Dine Around nearly 30 years ago. Highlights include everything from can’t miss neighborhood classics to a wide variety of gluten free and vegetarian friendly menu items to an array of ethnic cuisines and so much more. Furthermore, this year’s vendors include exciting first time Dine Around participants such as Café Jalu (from the brand new Printemps department store), Brooklyn Chop House and La Marchande to name a few.

As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Dine Around Downtown is a zero-waste event. Attendees will find triple-waste recycling stations located throughout the plaza, all of which will be staffed by educators who can advise on proper waste diversion and offer information on other zero-waste programs available in the neighborhood.
