The Safar Twins Star in Resonance, a Visually Arresting Short Film Exploring Duality and the Mystery of the Self

SOURCE Safar Global Foundation

Visionary entrepreneurs and philanthropists, The Safar Twins (Shabnam and Shaghayegh Safarzadeh) are stepping into new creative territory with Resonance, a short fashion film written and directed by Parsa Afsharjavan, a Persian-American interdisciplinary artist known for his work at the intersection of beauty, balance, and purpose. The 30-minute film, shot in the U.S. and set for its 2025 debut, will make its way through the international festival circuit later this year.

Inspired by the idea that “life shall not be measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away,”Resonance invites viewers into a surreal visual meditation on duality, identity, and the unseen forces that guide us.

In the film, identical beings X and Y—portrayed by The Safar Twins—exist in mirrored worlds defined by habit and symmetry. When the Universe, embodied by a celestial figure named Synchronicity (played by Jingru Li), intervenes, the twins are drawn toward a higher frequency of awareness. Through their journey of resonance, the two become one—an exploration of balance, acceptance, and the mystery of selfhood.

A cinematic fusion of fashion, philosophy, and fine artResonance brings together a distinguished creative team including:
