The Independent in Long Island City Launches Sales

MNS Real Estate (MNS) has announced that sales have officially launched at The Independent, Long Island City’s latest project in the Hunters Point neighborhood. Located at 42-14 Crescent Street, the building has been converted from a rental development to for-sale homes consisting of 48 elegant residences, ranging from studio to two-bedrooms. Boutique interior design firm, The Design High, is handling the upgrades to the common spaces and residences, including new appliances and bathroom vanities, as well as the staging of the model homes.

“Long Island City continues the strong upward trajectory it’s been on for the past decade and thriving as alive, work, play neighborhood, as well as an easy commute into Manhattan,” said Andrew Barrocas, CEO of MNS. “The homes and amenities at The Independent are designed to complement that lifestyle and provide buyers with an opportunity to invest in the neighborhood.”

By virtue of the oversized windows throughout each home, residents are greeted with a wave of natural light and expansive views upon entry. Each residence within the 13-story industrial-style building is meticulously designed with an open floor plan and high-end finishes creating a sleek, modern look. The bright kitchens boast Stevali white cabinetry, Caesarstone quartz countertops and state-of-the-art appliances by Bosch and Liebherr. The bathrooms provide an oasis complemented by a Signature bathtub, Waterworks fixtures and distinctive tile accents. Additionally, each unit is outfitted with its own Bosch washer and dryer.

Residents at The Independent will have access to a wealth of amenity spaces, perfectly interwoven across the development, including a fully equipped fitness center and residents lounge with a kitchen, large screen TV, billiards table and library. With the welcome of warmer weather, residents will be able to take advantage of the intimate landscaped courtyard with barbeque grills, as well as the fully-furnished roof deck, offering Long Island City and Manhattan views. For the convenience of residents, the project also offers private storage space and bicycling parking.

Located just one subway stop from Midtown via the N, W, M and 7 lines, only one block from Queensboro Plaza and approximately one mile from the LIC ferry landing, The Independent offers an easy commute into Manhattan and throughout the boroughs. Neighborhood amenities include Michelin-starred restaurants like Casa Enrique, cultural and artistic epicenters like MoMa PS1 and waterfront parks such as Gantry Plaza State Park and Hunter’s Point South Park, providing a perfect escape from urban living, with playgrounds, playing fields and cinematic views of the Manhattan skyline.
