Ntwrk, a livestream shopping platform, announced the first-ever virtual edition of Sneaker Con. Hosted by writer, producer and comedian Hasan Minhaj and founder of skate lifestyle brand Diamond Supply Co. Nick Diamond, the June 26 and 27 multimedia experience will feature exclusive product drops including some of the most exclusive grails, drops from coveted brands, special giveaways of some of the rarest sneakers of all time, musical performances and insight-driven panels with the biggest names in sneaker culture.

Launched in 2009, Sneaker Con has hosted over one million worldwide attendees and vendors in more than 25 cities and 14 countries. The ongoing event’s success has dovetailed with the fast-growing sneaker resale market, which made $6 billion in 2019. On its digital platform, Ntwrk will offer Sneaker Con greater event accessibility, welcoming an even broader audience in celebration of sneaker culture, a global cultural touchstone.

“I remember waiting in line for the Bred 11s my freshman year of high school,” Minhaj said. “A brawl broke out at Florin Mall in Sacramento. I ran. That’s why I’m thrilled to connect with other collectors and passionate fans at this virtual festival.”

“I have been collecting sneakers for many years, so when Sneaker Con asked me to co-host this festival, I was excited to be a part and to help celebrate the global passion for sneakers and everything that goes along with our culture,” Diamond said. “Sneaker Con is the industry leader in the space, and I trust Ntwrk as a partner.”

Sneaker Con is the sixth of Ntwrk’s virtual livestream shopping festivals, which recently included a two-day celebration of basketball’s global community, Off Court, and an online edition of the renowned art fair, Beyond the Streets.

“Sneaker Con’s focus has always been to continue nurturing the sneaker community by bringing sneakerheads together, while creating memorable experiences that will increase their passion for the culture. We never imagined being able to do that virtually which is why we are so excited about teaming up with Ntwrk,” said Alan Vinogradov, co-founder, Sneaker Con.
