Go big or go home was the mantra of Corcoran agents Kristina Ojdanic and Greg Kammerer when they broke a pricing record at The Savannah on West 89th Street.
They sold a two bedroom, 2-bath duplex with a set-back terrace for $2.25 million, almost $570,000 more than the previous record in 2015.
Ojdanic and Kammerer had priced the unit at $2.295 million, primarily because “the real estate market is doing well, and the apartment is on the top floor with a private balcony. The previous record was not on the top floor and did not have outdoor space,ˮ they said.
According to the agents – who handled both sides of the deal – the buyer was looking for a high floor UWS apartment with an open living area. “The private balcony that spans the length of the apartment was an added bonus,ˮ added Ojdanic.
The duplex has a great room with wood burning fireplace and wall of windows, open kitchen, wraparound staircase leading upstairs to the bedrooms, which both have walk-in closets, a washer/dryer and bonus powder room.
The deal took 59 days from listing to contract.
