Macklowe Properties hosted “Designing New York,” a conversation with Harry Macklowe and Vanity Fair contributing editor and architectural critic, Paul Goldberger. The event was held at the sales gallery for Macklowe’s new residential condominium 200 East 59th Street, located in the General Motors building on Fifth Avenue.
An audience of real estate brokers and design and architecture aficionados listened in on the one-on-one conversation, where Macklowe discussed the new, 35-story, 67-unit tower, which reaffirms his commitment to modernism, the hallmark of many of the developer’s past projects, several of which were also discussed as part of Macklowe’s illustrious career. Macklowe also spoke about his many design inspirations and influences.
