Champion Development recently purchased the John Tracy Clinic in University Park for $26 million and is expected to build a 99-unit townhouse project on the 2.75-acre site.
The project, which is in the midst of the approval process, is seeking financial assistance from the city with plans to start the first phase of development by 2019.
Champion expects a majority of the demand to come from USC faculty and employees.
