Renderings have been revealed for 2016 Arthur Avenue, a nine-story affordable housing complex coming to Tremont, The Bronx. Foxy Management will develop the building, with an affiliation to the Riverdale-based Hebrew Home for the Aged. This will be their second project working together, after the identically natured and 90% complete 1880 Boston Road.
The 95-foot tall structure will yield 140,420 square feet for residential use. 176 rental apartments will be created, all of which will be affordable rates for seniors. Units range in size from studios to one-bedrooms.
Residents will have access to a live-in super, laundry, bicycle storage, a greenhouse for gardening, and an outdoor recreation space on the bottom floor. An eighth-floor lounge will include amenities like a reading room, arts and crafts space, a computer room, fitness center, and two outdoor terraces.
8,000 square feet of open space will be available for residents, along with an indoor greenhouse for growing vegetables and herbs.
