Contemporary artist Lance Rodgers saw his work take center stage in one of the world’s most iconic locations when selected pieces from his collection are featured on a digital billboard in Times Square, New York City, on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.
Presented through Plogix Gallery, Rodgers’ artwork appeared on the digital display located at 1560 Broadway, between 46th and 47th Streets, directly above the Pelé Store. The exhibition ran for 24 hours, with Rodgers’ artwork appearing at the 17th minute of every hour, from 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. EDT, providing repeated exposure to the thousands of pedestrians and visitors who pass through Times Square each day.
Known for his masterful contemporary realism and more recently, for expanding into emotionally driven abstract expressionism, Rodgers continues to gain recognition for work that invites viewers to slow down, reflect and discover the stories embedded within each piece. The Times Square presentation offers an international platform for audiences to experience his work in one of the world’s most visible public art settings.
“Art begins as a personal expression, but it becomes meaningful when it connects with others,” Rodgers said. “I’m grateful to Plogix Gallery for providing this opportunity to share my work in Times Square, where people from every corner of the world come together. It’s an exciting reminder that creativity has no boundaries.”
The digital exhibition is part of Plogix Gallery’s international artist showcase, highlighting selected artists on a prominent Times Square billboard throughout the day. Visitors in New York can view the artwork in person, while those unable to attend can watch the display through the event’s live stream. Professional photographs and video footage of the presentation will also be provided following the exhibition.
Rodgers has built a reputation for creating highly detailed works that blend technical excellence with compelling storytelling. His evolving body of work continues to explore both representational and abstract forms, reflecting a career marked by artistic growth and a willingness to challenge expectations.
