The Cloud One Deli is located within The Cloud One New York– Downtown, a lifestyle boutique hotel by the German-based Motel One Group. The Cloud One Deli all-day café is quickly becoming FiDi’s go-to for a work-friendly atmosphere from early morning into the evening. The deli brings the Motel One Group’s European design sensibility to New York, merging forward-thinking aesthetics with thoughtful menu options locally sourced, proving that great design and thoughtful food go hand in hand.
The hotel’s all-day café reflects natural, organic and locally sourced ingredients, which are at the heart of the experience. The menu transitions seamlessly throughout the day, beginning with the curated breakfast offerings, and continuing with fresh, satisfying lunch options, and into the twilight hour with shareable plates and a well-curated wine program.
The kitchen, led by Chef Brenda Torres, reflects a strong commitment to sustainability and community. A self-taught chef with over 14 years of experience in New York City, Torres emphasizes seasonal ingredients and partnerships with local farms and vendors. Her background mentoring youth in farm-to-table programs continues to influence her approach.
The café is especially known for its standout cooked-to-order breakfast options, including: Egg Royale, poached eggs and smoked salmon on an English muffin with creamy hollandaise sauce; Shakshuka, fresh tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash and an array of spices in a simmering tomato sauce, topped with a poached egg; and Sweet Organic Bagel sourced by D & R Bakery, organic peanut butter, house-made berry jam and banana on a plain bagel. House-made cookies and a refined coffee program from Parlor Coffee in Brooklyn, guided by their team of baristas, keep the neighborhood energized. Fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies are available throughout the day.
Lunch is perfect for the business clientele in the area, situated in the heart of the Financial District, central to the World Trade Center Memorial and Trinity Church. Options include: The One Signature Burger, with two 4 oz. smashed patties, white cheddar, caramelized onions, arugula, pickles brined by the chef and house- made wasabi dijonnaise on a brioche bun; House Salad, organic seasonal greens, red onion, seeds and a house-made vinaigrette; and Pastrami Grilled Cheese, featuring warm lean-cut pastrami and Swiss cheese on toasted sourdough—something for everyone’s taste.
Twilight Hour is an ideal time to unwind and enjoy a curated selection of beverages paired with a variety of food offerings: Charcuterie Board, artisan cheeses, cured meats, sweet and savory bites; Cloud Fries, with grated parmesan, truffle oil and house- made champagne mayo; and Smoked Deviled Eggs, farm fresh eggs with house mayo, mustard, finished with smoked paprika.
The beverage program complements the menu with a curated, USA-focused wine list created by sommelier Mark Guillaudeu. Featuring Barbera from Mendocino, Zinfandel from Lodi, the list includes red, white, rosé and sparkling wines. A beer selection features 11 varieties, including India pale ales (IPAs) and lagers.
The Cloud One Deli hosts a brunch every weekend on Saturday and Sunday, featuring their classic menu items and a new 90-minute beverage add-on available with the purchase of an entrée, featuring prosecco, bellinis or mimosas.
The Urban Jungle interior design at The Cloud One Deli was conceptualized and crafted by in-house designer Barbara Wild. The interiors blend minimalism with dynamic and natural materials to create a peaceful haven within a bustling city. The wicker lamps, comfortable leather seating, dark wood tables and ambient lighting layered among the abundant greenery and soothing earthy colors establish a warm, immersive setting.
The Cloud One Deli’s new swag shop has curated branded merchandise, including hats, tote bags, coffee cups and Cloud One’s private-labeled jarred honey harvested from the hotel’s rooftop beehives, maintained by beekeeper Tom Wilk of Wilk Apiary.
