Permits Filed for Barker Avenue Residential Building in the Bronx

3013 Barker Avenue, located between Dee Avenue and Lester Street, has received permit filing. The seven-story residential building is in Bronxwood, The Bronx, with the interior lot near the Burke Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Moses Freund of SKMF Queens Management LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will hold 22,744 square feet, with 21,773 square feet designated for residential space. The building is planned to have 29 residences, most likely rentals based—averaging 750 square feet per unit. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar.

Aharon Machlis of AM Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in January 2019 for the two-story building on the lot. As of now, there is no official date announced for when the project will be completed.
